Price checks

Termpact’s blocks show each buyer’s contract price on your product pages. A price check makes sure the price shown is the price the cart charges.

What a check does

A test customer, set up only for price checks, opens up to 20 product pages for its company location, adds one item at a time to its cart, compares the cart price with the price on the page and empties the cart again. Termpact never signs in as your buyers, and test carts never become orders.

Checks run every night, after you publish or change your theme, and when you choose Check prices now in Settings → Online store. The result of the last check appears there.

When a price differs

If a page shows a different price than the cart, Termpact:

• shows Your price in cart instead of a price in that part of your theme, until a check passes again;
• adds a alert on Today;
• alerts the Termpact team, who look at your theme.

Cart and checkout always charge the contract price, so buyers are never charged the wrong price.

Turn on price checks

On development stores, price checks are always on. On your store, turn on Allow Termpact to verify prices with a test buyer in Settings → Online store, then ask Termpact support to set up the test customer. You can turn checks off at any time.
