Headless and Hydrogen storefronts
On a headless storefront (Hydrogen, or any storefront built on the Storefront API), checkout charges each company’s contract prices exactly as on an online store theme. The Termpact discount runs inside Shopify’s checkout on the cart your storefront created, so nothing extra is needed for the price buyers pay.
What doesn’t carry over
Section titled “What doesn’t carry over”Termpact’s theme blocks and app embed only work in Online Store themes. A headless storefront shows the prices it reads from the Storefront API, which are your regular prices (or Shopify B2B catalog prices). So before checkout, a buyer on a headless storefront sees:
- the regular price on product and collection pages;
- the contract price in the cart and at checkout, as a discount labelled with your discount message.
Termpact keeps its pricing data out of the Storefront API on purpose: your contract prices are never readable by the public.
Options
Section titled “Options”- Show a short note next to prices for signed-in company buyers, such as “Your contract price is applied in the cart”.
- If you need exact prices on product pages, use native catalogs on Shopify Plus: catalog prices are returned by the Storefront API for the buyer’s company location.
