Invoice settings
Settings → Invoices controls what every invoice and credit note says.
Your details
Section titled “Your details”- Legal name and address (up to 5 lines) of the business that sells.
- Country: invoices are numbered per country. Changing it starts new number series; invoices already issued keep their numbers.
- Tax IDs: up to four, for example a VAT number or EIN. They are printed with their label.
- Payment instructions: printed on every invoice, typically your bank details. They are stored encrypted.
Numbering
Section titled “Numbering”- Invoice prefix and credit note prefix (for example
INV-andCN-). They must differ. - Digits: how many digits the number is padded to (
INV-000042). - First number: if you move from another system, start where it stopped. Numbers only go forward: you can’t lower it after invoices were issued.
The page shows the next invoice and credit note number.
Emailing invoices
Section titled “Emailing invoices”When Email the invoice PDF when an order is placed is on, the buyer’s accounts-payable contacts get the invoice by email. This option is in early access.
