Check a price

Open Prices → Check a price in Termpact. It prices a cart with the same calculation as checkout, using the prices Termpact has sent to Shopify, so you can check a price list before a buyer orders. It works even before you switch contract pricing on.

  1. Under Price as, choose a company location (search by company or location name) or a price list. A price list shows what any location with that group pays, without company-only prices.
  2. Choose the currency. For a currency other than your store’s, Termpact fills in a reference exchange rate. Checkout uses Shopify’s own rate, so prices there can differ slightly; you can change the rate.
  3. Add products and quantities. Tick Treat every item as on sale to see a group that keeps sale prices.
  4. Choose Price this cart.

From a company location’s page, View as this buyer opens Check a price for that location.

For each line you see the regular price, what the buyer pays, the saving and why: a company price, a fixed price, a product or variant % rule, a rule by collection, vendor, type or tag (named), the base % off or a quantity break. When there’s no contract price, it says why — for example the regular price is already lower, or the item is on sale and the group keeps sale prices.

Flags:

  • Rounded — the price was rounded by the group’s rounding rule.
  • Converted — a price in your store currency was converted to the cart currency.
  • Contract price above regular price — the contract price is higher than the item’s current price, so checkout charges the regular price. This usually means the regular price went down; update the contract price.
  • Below minimum margin — in your store currency, the price is below the group’s minimum margin over cost.

If the whole cart gets no contract prices, a message explains why, for example the location has no price list yet or the group is a draft.
