Sending billing email from your domain
By default, billing email comes from Termpact’s address with your store name as the sender name and your store’s contact email as the reply-to address. Buyers’ replies reach you.
To send from your own domain instead:
- Go to Settings → Billing email and enter your domain, for example
example.com. - Termpact shows the DNS records to add at your domain host:
- three CNAME records for DKIM (required);
- an MX and a TXT (SPF) record for
bounce.example.com(required); - a TXT record for DMARC at
_dmarc.example.com(recommended, if you don’t have one).
- Add them, wait for DNS to update (usually minutes, sometimes a few hours) and choose Verify.
Once DKIM and MAIL FROM pass, billing email goes from billing@example.com.
If records disappear
Section titled “If records disappear”Termpact checks the records every week. If they stop verifying, billing email goes back to Termpact’s address and you see a notice. Fix the records and choose Verify again.
Free email domains (Gmail, Outlook and similar) can’t be used. Removing the domain, or uninstalling Termpact, deletes it from our email provider.
Changing email settings needs the Owner or Admin role.
